Day 1: Welcome to Vilnius

Arrival to Vilnius. You will be met, greeted and escorted to your hotel.

Day 2: Vilnius Old Town

Today we offer you some insights into the history and architecture of Vilnius. The city was founded in 1323 by Grand Duke Gediminas. On the sightseeing tour, you will explore the heart of the city – Cathedral Square with it’s most significant St. Stanislaw’s Cathedral. See the oldest university in Eastern Europe. Walk the main street of Old Town – Pilies, or Castle street with beautifully restored 16th-18th century buildings. Then visit the Old Jewish Quarter and enter the baroque-style St. Peter and Paul Church. During the tour, you will learn about the medieval period, the Soviet past and living within the European Union.

Enjoy the traditional lunch and have some free time to explore the city on your own.

Optional afternoon tour to Trakai town (not included):

Trakai, a small town 28 km from Vilnius, located in a picturesque area of Trakai national park surrounded by lakes and forests. During the tour visit the red-brick Gothic Castle on the lake Galves. This castle was constructed by the Grand Duke Vytautas in the end of 14th century. Nowadays it houses the Museum of History and Art.
